Comments: The root may be reconstructed as *k(ʷ)eh₁s-, but it has been suggested that the *s belongs to the suffix, the root *kē (i.e. *keh₁) being a variant of *kē(i), cf. Skt. cā́yati. For the latter verb I have reconstructed *k^weh₁i-e/o- (-> *čàjati).
